One of my favorite vampire songs of all time got a reboot this summer: “Bloodletting,” Concrete Blonde’s Anne Rice-inspired ode to New Orleans bloodsuckers. It’s been twenty years (twenty years!!) since the song first debuted. To celebrate, the band released a 2010 edition for our vampire-obsessed era. I’m attaching the new album cover, a sample of the remastered version, and the original 1990 video. The new album is called “Bloodletting” and includes remastered recordings of other Concrete Blonde songs, such as “Joey” and “Tomorrow, Wendy.”
